SEATTLE, Oct. 3 (UPI) -- Kurt Suzuki and Kevin Kouzmanoff homered Sunday, keying the Oakland Athletics' 4-3 win over Seattle in the final game of the season for both teams.

Dallas Braden (11-14) earned the victory, yielding a pair of runs on five hits over five innings.

The final win got Oakland to the .500 mark at 81-81, which was good enough to avoid a fourth straight losing season.

Seattle's Anthony Varvaro (0-1) absorbed the loss in relief of starter Ryan Rowland-Smith, who surrendered two runs on four hits over five innings.

The Mariners finished their disappointing 2010 season with a 61-101 mark, including five straight setbacks to end the year.
