CHICAGO, Sept. 5 (UPI) -- Ike Davis collected three hits and drove in three runs Sunday, spearheading the New York Mets' 21-hit attack in their 18-5 rout of the Chicago Cubs.
Davis lacked only a triple to complete a cycle and Ruben Tejada drove in five runs for the Mets, who salvaged one victory in a three-game series at Wrigley Field.
Angel Pagan contributed three RBI to back Jon Niese (9-7), who pitched six-plus innings, allowing five runs on eight hits, striking out four and walking three.
Cubs starter Ryan Dempster (12-10) was lit up for seven runs (three earned) on nine hits in 4 2/3 innings.
Aramis Ramirez pounded a two-run homer and drove in three runs for Chicago.
