LAS VEGAS, Sept. 5 (UPI) -- John Clay and Montee Ball ran for two touchdowns apiece Saturday to key 12th-ranked Wisconsin's 41-21 win over UNLV.
Clay, who was last season's Big Ten offensive player of the year, finished with 123 yards and Ball added 79.
Quarterback Scott Tolzien completed 15-of-20 passes for 197 yards for the Badgers, who went 10-3 last season. He was intercepted once.
Omar Clayton and Mike Clausen each threw a scoring pass for the Rebels (0-1).
The loss spoiled the debut of Coach Bobby Hauck, who left Montana to replace Mike Sanford, who was dismissed following a 5-7 record in 2009.
