SEATTLE, Sept. 5 (UPI) -- Mitch Talbot allowed only one unearned run over six-plus innings Saturday and the Cleveland Indians handled Seattle 4-2.
Talbot (9-11) scattered five hits, walked one and struck out six to register his first win since June 27, a span of 10 starts.
Chris Perez got the final five outs of the game to rack up his 18th save of the year, handing the Indians their second win in a four-game series with the Mariners.
Michael Brantley and Shin-Soo Choo each had an RBI for the victors.
Seattle starter David Pauley (2-7) was tagged for four runs on seven hits in a six-inning effort.
Russell Branyan socked a solo homer for the Mariners.
